I like to think of fashion as an art. With art you are always dragging inspiration from all of your surroundings. A lot of the outfits that I throw on have been brought together by some form of outside inspiration, and since it is bike week here in Daytona I figured what better inspiration than the bikers themselves. Daytona has been known for spring break in previous years, but bike week is an even bigger event. Thousands of riders come from all over the world to attend the events of the week. I wouldn't say that bikers have the best style, but they do stand out in a crowd and that's what it's all about when you are wanting to become a trendsetter.
As most of you can tell, I love an edgy style and bikers have that look down to a tee. You can pick apart bikers from any other person because they typically have at least two of the following things: a long braid, some form of leather, fringe, older denim, boots, a Harley Davidson shirt, and they pair it all with a lot of confidence.
For my "biker girl" look I pulled all of my favorite details from different biker's attire. I went with the long braid and made it stylish and feminine with a fishtail. I skipped out on the leather because of the hot Florida sun and did a light suede fringe jacket instead. I paired this jacket with my favorite vintage Levi shorts with some edgy studs on the pockets. To compliment the silver studs on my shorts I added a silver and black choker. Last but not least, some over the knee boots for extra sass.
Girl bikers always have a cool edge with lots of confidence and if you are feeling like a bada** when you wake up, channel your in biker chick when getting ready. Incase you were wondering no motorcycle is needed when pulling this look off, just add in confidence and your good to go. Want to shop for biker chick essentials?
