I get a lot of questions and comments about my outfits that I put together. Most of the time it's "Where did you get that from" "This is different" and my favorite is, "Where do you get your outfit ideas or inspiration from" to answer the last question, the same place all of you subconsciously get your outfit ideas from, your favorite celebrities. Most of you, my fellow middle class fashionistas are wearing knock offs of all of the biggest names in the industry, and you'll see exactly what I mean in a little bit.
Big fashion celebs that I like to follow are the Kardashian and Jenner clan, some of you can hate on them all you want but the trends that they start will end up finding their way to your closet, trust. Some more celebs I like to follow are Hailey Baldwin, Rihanna, Zendaya, and ofcourse the top fashion bloggers in the industry. I've found these girls rocking nothing less than the newest or unreleased tom ford, yeezy, balmain etc. on their days and nights out on the town. Since big name brands are the brains behind what is going to be hot next season, they are the ones to first release it, therefore the high end celebrities like I've mentioned before are going to be the ones to wear it first. They are the ones to showcase what is going to be hot next.
Starting with the one and only YEEZY! YEEZY SEASON is HUGE no matter what season it is. For example, that nude color you are all obsessed with, Yeezy did that. If you are rocking season 1,2 or 3 you know your the bomb.com. For some people who may not like Kanye, you can't deny his amazing taste for shoes. In fact, he is the designer and creator of what is one of the biggest trends in women's shoes right now, lucite heels! That is the clear heel that is shown in my picture of the boots I am wearing above. The lucite heel is super popular right now, and is usually connected to a fun and unique shoe. Most of the time it comes with a clear patent like Kanyes heels do or a fun 70s vibes rubber that can make any boring outfit stand out. Overall lucite heels are comfortable because they are thick heels, and will have you feeling like an edgy and fashionable Cinderella on any occasion.
As for my hair, Miley Cyrus did it first. When seeing Miley Cyrus rock this hairstyle while swinging on a big ball with her tongue out, I thought she was a nut case (didn't we all) but she did what she felt looked good and rocked it. A lot of celebrities seemed to have found some sort of inspiration from her because I've seen many of them wearing this look for lots of different occasions. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be putting my hair in pigtails like this at the age of 22, but here I am. I wanted to try something fun and different to go with my boots and it turns out I really like the double bun duo. It takes seconds to do and it definitely makes you stand out in a crowd.
The last detail in my outfit that I used to make my basic t-shirt dress stand out was a thick pink satin choker. Chokers are the only accessory that I would most likely take a bullet for, and the satin material on this choker is straight flames. For more of a dramatic affect I wanted a thick choker, and forever 21 blessed me with this one.
When it comes down to it, original outfits are all about the details. Be daring when you use them, and you will get a dramatic change to your look everytime. As Tom Ford says, "People will stare, make it worth their while."
